Basting with Adhesive

If you’re new to quilting, you may not know what basting exactly is. Well, it’s simple. It’s a temporary stitch used to hold fabric together. They are long stitches that can easily be removed. The benefit of using a basting stitch is so that you have greater accuracy. If you decide you don’t like where a seam is, you can remove it if you used a basting stitch.

However, an easier solution is the basting spray. Instead of using an actual stitch or pins, the spray will hold your fabric together. Then, when you’re done with your quilt and happy with your seams, you simply can wash the glue out.

You can always reposition the layers too. Basting sprays make quilting easy.
